Akua Achiaa Okyere, MBA is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Compass Title19 Consultants LLC and a former Connecticut Department of Social Services eligibility professional.

Akua’s professional background extends beyond individual eligibility casework. Her experience includes leadership, employee training, performance management, complex problem solving, policy implementation, reporting and collaboration across teams and agencies.
She has recruited, trained and supported large groups of employees and has led teams responsible for high-volume public-benefit work. This combination of frontline eligibility knowledge and organizational leadership shapes the way Compass approaches client service today.
The result is a practice designed around systems: clear intake, careful document review, defined next steps, organized submissions, appropriate follow-up and professional accountability.
Akua holds a Master of Business Administration in Management & Analytics from the University of Bridgeport and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, with academic study in Psychology and Nursing.
Her combination of Medicaid eligibility experience, management and analytics education, and exposure to health and human-services disciplines supports Compass’s practical approach to complicated family situations.

Her work included navigating detailed eligibility requirements, reviewing complex cases, supporting staff, resolving administrative issues and helping translate policy into consistent day-to-day eligibility operations.
That experience gave Akua a deep appreciation for both sides of the Medicaid process: the administrative standards agencies must follow and the very real difficulty families can experience when trying to satisfy those requirements during a healthcare or long-term-care transition.
