At Compass Title19 Consultants LLC, Akua Achiaa Okyere leads this organization with a clear purpose: to make Medicaid services , accessible, equitable and comprehensive, offering a blend of expertise, analytics-driven strategy and caregiver advocacy within the field of long-term care.
With a strong and formidable background at the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS), Akua brings insider knowledge of HUSKY C, LTSS, and Medicaid Waiver programs. Her hands-on experience in eligibility reviews, policy development, staff training, and quality assurance will ensure that Compass clients receive the most accurate guidance and streamlined support throughout the Medicaid process.
Akua pairs her frontline expertise with strategic vision. Holding an MBA in Management and Analytics from the University of Bridgeport, she designs efficient service systems, strengthens intake and CRM processes, and builds trusted partnerships with advocates for seniors, nursing facilities, and care coordinators across the state.
Her career began with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Nursing from the University of Ghana, where she championed community health and youth education initiatives. She later expanded her global perspective through work with the British Council in Ghana and the UK, supporting vulnerable persons and families through transitions.
At Compass, Akua is the driving force behind partnership growth, caregiver advocacy, and culturally responsive care initiatives.
